Elephant's foot umbrella stand - Dodgy Interior Design

Few months ago I was researching various games and found a parlour game called "Elephant's foot umbrella stand". It is a funny game, similar to one we used to play as kids, where each player adds a word or a phrase to an ever expanding sentence that then has to be repeated by the next player before he adds in a new word or phrase. Click on the link above to read more about the rules on Wikipedia.

Canada Day on WikiHow

This caught my eye on my iGoogle page on Canada Day:

Canada Day iGoogle

How to of the Day 1st of July 2010

My iGoogle page is an endless source of information and daily joy. Every morning I can have a glance at the news headlines, my horoscopes, incoming emails (if I got any at all), quotes of the day, newest Garfield etc, etc.

There are days when a random vague piece of information that is fed to me by the homepage prompts me to do some research that subsequently unearths something absolutely fantastic.

Laura Mercier's Chocolate Truffle - The land of Soufflé and Honey

Since B. has neglected me over Christmas and New Year, I have emotionally blackmailed him into buying me a lot of lovely things. I dragged him to Brown Thomas during post-Christmas Sale and bullied him into buying me Laura Mercier's Chocolate Truffle Honey Bath and Soufflé Body Crème.

Widdle Wabbit

This is what coworkes send me via email:

A precious little girl walks into a pet shop and asks, "Excuthe me, do you have any widdle wabbits?"

The shopkeeper's heart melts, he gets fown on his knees so that he's on her level, and says,"Do you want and widdle white wavvit ot a thoft fluffy bwack wabbit, or one like that widdle bwown wabbit over there?"

The little girl blushes, rocks on her heels, puts her hands on her knees, leans forward and whispers..."I don't weally fink my pyfon gives a phuk."

My pyfon doesn't give a phuk.

"The word 'politics' is derived from the word 'poly', meaning 'many', and the word 'ticks', meaning 'blood sucking parasites'."
- Larry Hardiman

Most certainly, these days we are proven exactly how many of those ticks have sucked us dry!

I read today:

"In honor of Rudyard Kipling's 140th birthday, Oxford University asked students how much they like Kipling. Nearly half responded that they'd never kipled."

Do you like kilpling and how often do you kiple?

One for everyone

One zombie for me, one zombie for you, everyone gets a zombie each.
