Weeks 5, 6 and 7 - and all is well

I've been up to my eyeballs lately so I neglected to keep you all updated on the Weight Watchers results. Don't worry - I haven't given up and all is going well.

As I wrote before, I haven't lost anything on week 4, and as predicted the weight loss did slow down afterwards in comparison to the first two weeks. Week 5 was ok - lost 0.9 kg, but week 6 was dreadful, filled with nights out and beer. I presume it was the beer that was responsible for the dire result that week; I gained 0.2 kg.

With the depressing gain over my head, I went through the tracker to identify what was different about the weeks during which I lost little or nothing at all, or like in week 6, gained weight. The answer was plain as day: beer, beer, beer.

With that in mind, I avoided beer as the plague since. I still went out for drinks with friends, twice, but stuck to wine, brandy, whiskey and above all my points. And it worked! This week I lost another 0.9 kg.

Alas, joining Weight Watchers was the best thing I could have done for myself. It's been only 7 weeks and I lost 5.5 kg, so just over 12 lbs!

With these results I'm definitely looking at fitting into size 10 by the end of the year!
